Located in historic Milledge Hall, the Office for Student Success and Achievement is a unit of the Office of Instruction at the University of Georgia. Formerly known as the Division of Academic Enhancement, the office empowers all students to Learn Differently through innovative courses, programs, services, and student-centered initiatives. The office supports students as they transition into higher education and sustains their progress through the University’s unique academic environment.
The office supports students through services such as peer tutoring, peer learning assistants, academic coaching, the Presentation Collaboratory, and student success workshops. Its Initiatives area provides support for students through a variety of scholarship programs including the Georgia Commitment Scholarship, the ALL Georgia program, and first-generation student support. Additionally the office offers the Thrive at Georgia program, a month long residential experience for regularly admitted first-year students, offers a comprehensive introduction to UGA while earning course credit.
The office offers a wide variety of courses that aim to equip UGA students to become intentional and independent lifelong learners. All of our courses begin with the prefix “UNIV” and count as elective degree credit.
Finally, the Office for Student Success and Achievement is home to seven federally-funded TRIO programs which are outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
