Brennen Salmon is the director of University Academic Advising Services.
He received his B.S. in Psychology from the University of Georgia and his M.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee. He is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Student Affairs Leadership through UGA. His dissertation is a quantitative study exploring working conditions as a predictor of student affairs professionals’ turnover intentions. Prior to joining the College of Education, Brennen served as an advisor with the College of Family and Consumer Sciences and as an Academic Coach at the University of Tennessee’s Student Success Center.
Brennen is a proud graduate of UGA where he met his wife, Katie. During his time at UGA, you could probably find him at Snelling, the Wesley Foundation, or Between the Hedges. Because UGA became home for him as an undergraduate, Brennen is dedicated to helping students feel at home here too. In his spare time, Brennen enjoys reading, playing tennis, and spending time with his wife and his son, Micah.
