The University of Georgia Press is the oldest and most extensive book publisher in Georgia. Since 1938, the Press has published works of scholarship, creative and literary works, regional books, and digital projects from around the world. Its primary objective is to enhance and maintain UGA’s standing as a major research institution.

The Classic Journal

The Classic Journal promotes the writing and research by undergraduate students at UGA. The Classic Journal is a cross-disciplinary publication that aims to provide undergraduates with the chance to experience the academic publishing process. Visit the Journal’s website to learn more.

The Red & Black

The Red & Black is an independent newspaper organization with a website updated daily and a weekly print issue distributed in Athens, GA. The paper covers University of Georgia and Athens news, sports, arts, music, culture, and opinion pieces and gives UGA students a chance to gain experience in various aspects of media/publishing. Stillpoint

Since 1967, Stillpoint Literary Magazine has been a force for art and literature here in Athens. A student-run magazine, its purpose is to give new and experienced writers a chance to have their work appear in a locally supported venue. Stillpoint publishes new work online frequently and in print once per year.

Stethoscope Magazine

Stethoscope Magazine is a student-run online publication focusing on news in healthcare. The Magazine promotes resources and guidance for pre-health interests, but students of any major are invited to contribute as writers, editors, photographers, or designers. The Chapel Bell

The Chapel Bell is a student-managed publication, whose platform is to “empower students to reach their full potential and enact a positive change.” The Chapel Bell distributes issues around campus every semester, composed of writing and visual media. Fala Aí Magazine

Fala Aí, the magazine of the Portuguese program at the University of Georgia, is an award-winning student-run magazine about the Lusophone-world. The goal of this magazine is to inform those interested in the Portuguese language as well as in the cultures from the regions in which it is spoken.
