Ruth Poproski, the former assistant director for teaching and learning at Georgia Tech, has been named associate director for teaching and learning in UGA’s Center for Teaching and Learning. Poproski began her new position May 1.
As associate director for teaching and learning, Poproski leads CTL’s educational development efforts for all instructors, including support for learning technologies, TA development and recognition, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Poproski holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Logic, Computation, and Methodology, and an M.A. in Philosophy. She has taught courses in Philosophy, Logic, and Game Theory, and is passionate about supporting good course design, teaching, and mentoring practices in higher education. Prior to her return to school to pursue graduate degrees, Ruth worked as an associate pastor and developed programming and services for underprivileged teenagers and young adults.
