The University of Georgia Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) is committed to training and developing outstanding future leaders.

The Bulldog Battalion consists of cadets from the University of Georgia (host school) and Georgia Gwinnett College (partner school).  The Military Science elective courses at UGA and GGC, taken along with required classes for any major, are designed to train and develop future leaders with no obligation to the military for the first two years.

Military Science classes focus on equipping students with the tools, training, and experience that will be necessary to succeed in any competitive environment.  The classes cover management, leadership, ethics, tactics, law, military history, and Army society.  During classes and field training, student learn first-hand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups, and how to conduct missions as an officer in the Army.
